To Fitness Edge Members,
We would like to remind you of the changes to the class booking system in the new year.
The Booking Process for classes starting on Monday the 4th January 2021
As of the 4th of January 2021, we will make changes to the booking system to assist both members and staff and to ensure the booking and attendance process runs smoothly. This will also offer the ability to book online or just come along to the class in the same way as the pre-COVID process.
Online Bookings (only) will open 24-hours prior to the class time and will be available for use through the Active Carrot online booking system.
This means that bookings will open from Sunday the 3rd of January for Monday’s classes.
Members that are not using our online booking system will be able to come in up to two hours prior to a class to obtain a ticket to attend the class. This will make the pre-COVID booking process possible once again. Please note that from this time, phone or in-person bookings prior to two hours will not be available unless made via the online access portal. We encourage members to take the time to become familiar with the online booking system if they wish to prebook, and rest assured that through this transition staff will be on-hand to assist.
We thank all members for your ongoing support and friendly approach to the centre and staff. Moving forward, we will continue to work to find the best possible outcomes for all in 2021 and beyond.
We hope to see you in the centre, and on behalf of the club and the Fitness Edge we would like to wish you a safe, happy and healthy start to the new year.
Thank you
COVID-19 Management Policy
Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club aims to provide a place of work that is safe, and one that minimises the risk of being
infected with or spreading CoVID-19. This duty of care extends to all staff, club members, visitors,
volunteers, contractors, and members of the general public associated with our business and covering all
work locations.
The minimum standard acceptable to Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club are those prescribed in Safework
Australia’s national guidelines that detail techniques to prevent the spread of CoVID-19, combined with any
current legislation, regulations, restrictions and standards applicable to the state of New South Wales.
These requirements are documented in the Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Clubs CoVID-19 Management Plan.
In addition, it is our objective to achieve and maintain hygiene, health, safety, and welfare standards in
excess of the stated minimum for the workplace. This is done with the implementation of effective systems
for identifying, assessing, and reporting potential spread risks and eliminating or controlling the same as
reasonably as is practicable.
All Managers and their team members are held accountable with clearly stated role responsibilities and
measures of their performance in their position descriptions. Managers are held responsible for these
accountabilities, through performance reviews, their commitment to the CoVID-19 Management
Committee and regular reviews.
To demonstrate Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club’s commitment to this Policy, we will ensure that there is
ongoing CoVID-19 training in the workplace, combined with the provision of appropriate personal protective
equipment and support for any staff members who have concerns.
Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club is committed to ensuring that there is COVID-19 related consultation and
participation amongst its Staff. Staff members are not expected to conduct any work that they reasonably
consider places them at risk of contracting CoVID-19. Every person at Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club is
responsible for ensuring that measures implemented to prevent the risk of CoVID-19 spread are being
followed.

COVID-19 UPDATE:
30 June
Dear (member name)
Firstly, a big welcome back to all our members and it has been great to see so many faces again at the centre. It was a busy first few weeks working the logistics around Covid-19 and ensuring a safe and clean environment. We continue to update procedures and work on ways to provide a smooth comeback to the centre and again we thank all members for your support and patience during this time
We wanted to provide an update on a few things at the centre as we continue to work back to normality during this time.
Memberships
As noted all memberships are back up and running and we have worked through with members any updates to details and circumstances. Fitness Passport members will be active as of the 1st July to again enjoy the facilities
Member Experience and Visits
Members will find a few things different when coming to the gym.
Firstly, when attending we ask members to continue to swipe their card or tag their wristband to enter at reception. This is to remove touch points and speed the process up. For members attending group fitness classes they will just attend the kiosk to collect their class ticket (see below details on Group Fitness).
Also, during this time for hygiene reasons, we will not be loaning wrist bands. This is for the safety of staff and members going forward. Many members have their own wrist band so they can scan in and then use lockers. For any members wishing to use lockers they can purchase a wrist band for $10 from reception. This is half price during this time and will enable members to access car park, gym entry, lockers, and clock in.
We also ask members to respect others and social distancing in all areas. Members cannot gather around reception and are asked to sign in and move to their training.
We are required to have clear guidelines and conditions of entry. Members are asked to ensure they comply with the conditions before and during their visit.
Conditions of entry can be found here
Key points include Must have a towel at all times and clean any equipment before and after use
